Moldova to simplify the process of reporting obligations to the state social insurance budget.

Moldova to simplify the process of reporting obligations to the state social insurance budget.

In particular, it is provided for the cancellation of the report by which the corresponding contributions are declared by individuals engaged in independent activities. This is provided for by amendments to the Law on State Social Insurance System, passed by the Parliament in the first reading. Currently, individuals engaged in independent activities in the retail trade, with the exception of trade in excisable goods, are required to register as contributors to the state social insurance budget and declare the appropriate contributions once a year. According to the draft law it is proposed to simplify the process of registration of these persons as payers of contributions and insured persons. Thus, this category of taxpayers will be recorded by the National Social Insurance Agency (CNAS) electronically based on information received from the State Tax Service through the interoperability platform (MConnect). Based on the information received from the State Tax Service, CNAS will calculate the monthly social insurance contributions for those performing independent activities and register them in the accounting system. The project concerns patent holders as well, since the fact that on July 1 of this year, amendments to the Law on entrepreneurial patents will take effect. // 12.06.2023 - InfoMarket.
