
Wine of Moldova expands its global presence and gains increasing interest in international markets
Wine of Moldova is steadily strengthening its presence and visibility in foreign markets. At ProWein 2025, the Wine of Moldova stand was visited by top wine industry professionals interested in collaborations and commercial partnerships, coming from countries such as South Korea, China, Japan, the USA, Canada, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and France.
Moreover, representatives of the National Office for Vine and Wine (ONVV) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry held discussions with members of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Germany regarding strategies to expand the presence of Wine of Moldova on international markets and to increase its recognition among foreign consumers. The visibility and success of participating in the world’s largest international wine fair—ProWein 2025—confirm that Wine of Moldova is becoming an influential player, as the Republic of Moldova prepares to take on the title of the world’s wine capital.

Unexpectedly Great’, showcased their products and engaged with potential partners and consumers. This edition is particularly significant as our country is preparing to become the global wine capital by hosting the 46th World Congress of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the 23rd OIV General Assembly.”
Moldova, the world capital of the wine in June
In mid-June, the Republic of Moldova will become the international epicenter of the wine world, hosting the most important platform where the future steps for the industry’s development and resilience will be discussed. This event represents a crucial opportunity to increase the visibility of Wine of Moldova and to reaffirm the country’s status as a high-quality wine producer among top delegates and industry professionals. In the long term, this initiative is expected to create a domino effect, attracting new tourists and further strengthening Moldova’s position on the world map of renowned wine destinations.
