Maib supports women in IT with "You drive IT" scholarship for talented UTM students

Maib, in partnership with the Technical University of Moldova (UTM), announced the launch of a scholarship programme aimed at female students of technical disciplines, such as IT, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
 
Maib awarded five scholarships (each worth MDL 15,000) to UTM female students to reward academic performance and involvement in extracurricular activities and volunteering. The scholarships are specifically aimed at women, who tend to be underrepresented in the technical disciplines. This way maib promotes full inclusion of women in the Moldovan labour market, encourages young women to opt for a career in IT and other technical fields, and supports their aspirations in technology.
 
The 5 recipients of the "You drive IT" scholarships were awarded at the Graduates Gala of the Technical University of Moldova:

  •      - Arina Carauș – 3rd year student, Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics
  •      - Iulia Berghii – 4th year student, Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics 
  •      - Alexandra Țaranu – 3rd year student, Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics
  •      - Ilinca Osipov – 3rd year student, Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications
  •      - Ariana Țenu – 3rd year student, Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications
 
These young women excelled in academics as well as led a variety of initiatives and extracurricular activities.
