Maib presented innovative solutions for online merchants at the GPeC Summit: E-Commerce & Digital Marketing

In the ever-growing digital age, e-commerce has become an indispensable channel for business development. At maib, we understand the importance and potential of this area and are dedicated to providing financial solutions tailored to the needs of every business.

The GPeC conference was a unique opportunity to explore the most current trends and strategies in E-Commerce and Online Marketing. During the intense conference day, attendees had the privilege of listening to and interacting with international and local experts, along with over 200 C-Level attendees. This event gave entrepreneurs and professionals from the Republic of Moldova valuable insights into the evolving digital environment.

Maib was active in the GPeC Conference, contributing to conference sessions, lectures and workshops. Alongside the GPeC Conference, maib was also present at the GPeC Expo, where it had the opportunity to present customized and practical banking solutions for online business development. The expo was a key meeting place between maib and online shops, generating synergies and opportunities for collaboration.

During the event, Aliona Stratan, First Deputy Chairwoman at maib, spoke about the actions taken by the bank to promote a cashless economy and the banking solutions offered to entrepreneurs to move their business online.

"We are pleased that, with the help of maib, more and more merchants can accept online payments without incurring high operational costs, and individual customers can pay by card. Whereas just 2 years ago, 80% of customers had only one card, today, only 40% have so, with the other 60% opting for multiple cards, which they use to pay online or in shops. Moreover, we see that 25% of e-commerce payments are made with cards from abroad, so by creating opportunities for local companies to receive payments online, we are also stimulating the sale of local products", said Aliona Stratan.

Questioned in a survey why they choose e-commerce from maib, entrepreneurs said:

  •       - the offer of innovative solutions in the e-commerce area;
  •       - support and help throughout the integration and enrolment process;
  •       - the offer of competitive commission fees;
  •       - next-business-day cash on delivery.

Maib continues to invest in technology and innovation to stay at the forefront of the banking sector, support businesses in the Republic of Moldova, and offer competitive opportunities to individuals.

GPeC Summit: E-Commerce & Digital Marketing was organized by AmCham Moldova and AIM - Alliance of Small and Medium Enterprises of Moldova in partnership with GPeC Romania and the Future Technologies in Moldova Project, funded by USAID Moldova, the Embassy of Sweden in the Republic of Moldova and the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the Republic of Moldova, with the support of the main partner: FAN Courier and the premium partner: maib.
