10 000 000 MDL maib donation to support the Ukrainian people

Since the beginning of the war in the neighboring country, maib has shown solidarity and compassion towards the Ukrainian people. Maib has been supporting Ukrainian refugees through a series of actions (exchange rate for the Ukrainian hryvnia, zero commissions for a series of operations, bank cards, etc.), but also through monthly donations to the special account opened by the Government of the Republic of Moldova to support refugees. In December, maib accumulated a total donation of 10,000,000 MDL transferred to the charity account opened by the authorities.

The impressive amount of 10,000,000 MDL consists in the donation of the Board of Directors members' salaries, the salaries of the Chairman of the maib Management Board and the members of the Management Board, from transactions with maib cards, but also other donations to the special account "Help Ukraine" through maibank and at the self-service terminals.

In the 10 months since the start of the war, maib has transferred a monthly fixed amount for each transaction made with a debit or credit card issued by the bank and for each payment made at any POS-terminal, as well as in the e-commerce network, the first instalment of 1 522 809 MDL being donated in support of Ukrainian citizens refugees from the war in March 2022.

The mobilization of maib customers and employees is a gesture of deep solidarity with Ukrainian citizens living in the war tragedy. This project is the most far-reaching in maib's portfolio of corporate social responsibility projects in 2022.

Maib thanks all customers who frequently used the bank's card, and donors - for their generosity and financial support offered in this charity initiative for a noble cause.
Maib – we stand with Ukraine! Let there be peace!
