A new support for Ukrainian refugees: the maib donation in November amounts 6 172 285 MDL

Maib continues to support Ukrainian refugees in the Republic of Moldova through a new instalment of donations in November.
 
Thus, in November, maib donated 588, 661 MDL to the support account opened by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, including 553, 135,50 MDL accumulated from card transactions made by maib customers, and 35,525.45 MDL representing the donations made to the special account “Help Ukraine” through maibank and at self-service terminals.
 
Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in February, maib, the largest bank in Moldova, has continued to support Ukrainian refugees in the Republic of Moldova from the war in the neighbouring country by transferring the first instalment of 1,522,809 MDL, in March, to the special account for the support of the Ukrainian people. The donation was possible thanks to the February transactions and the total monthly salaries of the bank’s Board of Directors, the maib CEO and the members of the Management Board. Monthly, maib transfers a fixed amount for each transaction made with a debit or credit card issued by the bank and for each payment made at any POS terminal and in the e-commerce network.
 
Since the initiative’s announcement, maib has donated 6,172,285MDL to support the Ukrainian people.
 
The bank urges maib cardholders who want to support this initiative to make as many payments and transactions with the cards as possible to increase the amount donated to the refugee support fund.
