According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in September 2020, the volume of industrial production decreased by 7.9% compared to the same month of the previous year. In general, in January-September 2020, compared to the same period in 2019, the production volumes in the extractive industry increased by 4.5%, and in the processing industry - decreased by 7.5%. According to the NBS, food industry enterprises for 9 months 2020, compared to the same period in 2019, reduced overall production by 2.4%. The production of beverages decreased by 7.1%, textile products - decreased by 7.7%, clothing - decreased by 9.3%. For tanning and leather finishing; production of suitcases, bags, harness and saddlery; dressing and dyeing of fur increased by 2.4%, and in the section wood processing and production of products from wood and cork, except for furniture; production of products from straw and other plant materials for plaiting - a decline of 24%. Production of paper and paper products increased by 1%, chemicals and chemical products - increased by 24.9%, pharmaceuticals and drugs - decreased by 9.6%, rubber and plastic products - decreased by 6.8%. In the metallurgical industry, production fell by 10.7%.
