Moldova will approve a new regulation establishing uniform rules for designating locations for customs formalities
The Customs Service has initiated consultations on a draft order aimed at addressing gaps in current regulations, particularly in the designation of locations for customs operations and the control and supervision of goods. The draft provides for a clear procedure for designating such locations, including selection criteria, requirements for location, organization, and operation, as well as the responsibilities of economic operators. The new regulation also provides for the creation of a working group to verify the compliance of proposed sites, the introduction of labeling and control requirements, and mandatory publication of a list of approved locations on the Customs Service website. The draft aims to harmonize national practices with EU legislation, including the provisions of the EU Customs Code (EU Regulation No. 952/2013), and aims to improve the efficiency of customs control and simplify procedures for businesses. Consultations on the draft are open until May 11.// 04.05.2026 — InfoMarket
