ANRE will be able to adjust the regulated prices of electricity supply in the event of an emergency situation.
A decision to this effect has been issued by the Emergency Situations Commission. It has been decided that, in the case of objective factors (change of purchase prices of electricity, fluctuation of national currency, adoption of normative acts that affect the cost of supply), which create the need to increase/decrease the regulated income of universal service suppliers and guarantee suppliers by more than 1%, the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) will adjust the regulated prices of electricity supply in an emergency regime, pursuant to Article 16 of the Energy Law. It stipulates that in case of emergency situations in the energy sector, ascertained in accordance with the law, or problems related to the security of energy supply, draft resolutions and decisions may be developed and adopted/issued on an urgent basis without complying with the article regarding the transparency of the agency and its adoption of resolutions and decisions. As InfoMarket agency reported earlier, the last time the electricity tariffs for end consumers were changed was at the beginning of November. Particularly, starting November 4, the domestic consumers of Premier Energy, whose electricity installations are connected to the low-voltage (0.4 kW) distribution networks, had their prices increased by 51.4% - from 3.15 to 4.77 lei/kWh, and those of FEE Nord - from 3.21 to 4.81 lei/kWh (+49.8%). // 18.11.2022 – InfoMarket
