Businessmen and entrepreneurs feel significant improvements in reducing red tape in Moldova - Dumitru Alaiba

Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization stated this, noting that it cannot be said that there is no more red tape, but it has been significantly reduced and the authorities continue to fight it, being sure that there should be no place for bureaucracy in Moldova. Dumitru Alaiba also recalled that since 2023, entrepreneurs in Moldova pay income tax only if the profit is distributed as dividends among the founders. This helps entrepreneurs to invest, save money, not to pay this tax to the state, but to decide what to do with this money. Only thanks to this, at least 1.4 billion lei remained in the accounts of businessmen. The Minister also emphasized that the "SRL (LLC) reform" is a long-term reform, which in 5 years will have a great effect in terms of investments, the dynamism we need in the economy. "We were mainly inspired by the example of the Netherlands and Estonia. This reform means much more freedom for entrepreneurs," said Dumitru Alaiba. According to him, what the authorities have advanced very quickly in is digitalization. "More than 60% of public services for entrepreneurs are available digitally, and 80% of interactions between entrepreneurs and the state are digital. In Q1 2024, more than 80% of interactions were online," said the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. // 07.08.2024 - InfoMarket.
