The Moldovan government will allocate 110 million lei for partial compensation of excise taxes on diesel fuel for farmers

The Cabinet of Ministers made this decision at a meeting on Wednesday. According to Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Ludmila Catlabuga, the compensation will amount to 100% of the 2026 excise tax rate (3,978.95 lei per ton) for fuel purchased by farmers from March 1 to May 31. The maximum assistance amount is limited to 200,000 lei per recipient. The government will allocate 110 million lei from the Reserve Fund for this purpose.
