Ready to invest? Maib announces the launch of its third corporate bond program

Maib continues to diversify the investment opportunities it offers to its customers. Following the successful completion of two previous corporate bond programs, which provided maib customers with additional benefits, the bank announces the launch of its third and largest corporate bond program, starting March 6, 2025. This initiative reflects maib’s ongoing commitment to giving its customers with simple, secure, and efficient financial solutions that align with their goals, while also strengthening the bank’s efforts to support the development of Moldova’s capital market by diversifying financial instruments in line with the evolving needs of investors.

As part of this program, during 12 months, maib will issue 10 consecutive series of corporate bonds in different classes, each with a nominal value of 150 million MDL.
The “first come, first served” principle will apply to ensure equal access to these investment opportunities. Additionally, maib reserves the right to close the offer early if all available bonds are subscribed.

What is important to know about maib corporate bonds?

  •     - each subscription lasts only 20 caledar days;
  •     - bonds are available to both resident and non-resident individuals in the Republic of Moldova.
  •     - within each issue, a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 7,500 bonds can be subscribed, with each bond having a nominal value of 20,000 MDL;
  •     - the bonds have a 3-year maturity period, with a floating coupon rate adjusted annually.
Why is it advantageous to invest in maib corporate bonds?
  •     - guaranteed additional income – you receive monthly interest for 3 years;
  •     - more attractive yield – the interest rate is more favourable than other saving instruments;
  •     - easy trading –the bonds are listed on the Moldova Stock Exchange;
  •     - additional security –they can be used as collateral under certain conditions;
  •     - flexibility – you can withdraw funds with a simple application at any maib branch.
How can you subscribe to corporate bonds?
To invest in maib corporate bonds, you can submit an applcation:
  •     - at any maib branch;
  •     - At the intermediary office: Chisinau, 127, 31 August 1989 street, maib park;
  •     - using a qualified advanced electronic signature. Leave an application on maib’s ofiicial website, and you will be contacted shortly.
Note: According to the Tax Code, interest income is subject to taxation.
