Do you want to invest advantageously and for the long term? Choose corporate bonds from maib

Maib launches corporate bonds, a new product in the portfolio that will diversify investment opportunities, offering an attractive profitability to customers. The new product will be available to both individuals and legal entities, residents and non-residents of the Republic of Moldova.
According to the product specifics, on April 25, maib launches the first issue of bonds, which can be subscribed within 21 days.
The bank will apply the first come, first served principle to meet the request. At the same time, it reserves the right to close the offer early in case of sold-out (subscription) of the entire volume.
In total, maib intends to launch an Offer Program that includes 4 issues of corporate bonds over 12 months, with a nominal value of 100 million MDL each.
What are corporate bonds?

  • They are a widely distributed product in developed capital markets.
  • The issue of corporate bonds is admitted for circulation on the secondary market at the Moldova Stock Exchange.
  • The nominal value of a corporate bond is 20,000 MDL/bond.
  • Term of circulation: 3 years.
  • The coupon is more attractive compared to other economic instruments due to the margin.
  • Coupon interest rate: fixed margin of +2% to the interest rate offered by the bank on the ”maib classic” 365-day deposit opened at the branch.
  • The interest payment takes place four times a year for 3 years, after which, at maturity, the initially invested amount is paid.
  • Periodicity of the coupon rate change: the reference rate changes annually.
  • Provides the opportunity for early voluntary repayment of bonds at par at the holder's request.
  • The monetary resources to be obtained are secured from maib's future income.
  • Corporate bonds can be used as collateral for other monetary and financial instruments.
How to contract corporate bonds
  • Analyze the Public Offer Prospectus and related information published on the www.maib.md page.
  • Submit a subscription request and conclude the contract in any maib branch or the Intermediary's office (Chisinau, 104/1 Columna Street).
  • The funds are transferred from the customer's (investor's) account to the special account of the subscribed bonds.
  • Congratulations, you are included in the register of bondholders. Thus, you have become an investor and holder of maib corporate bonds.
  • Please remember that according to the Fiscal Code, coupons obtained from holding bonds are sources of taxable income. Therefore it is mandatory to complete the annual income declaration.
