Photovoltaic panels are becoming increasingly popular in Moldova because they are an efficient way to save money. Alternative energy is an option for those who want clean, economical energy with a sustainable structure, and maib confidently supports such projects.
Recently, in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, maib participated in the inauguration by Lavender First SRL of one of the largest parks with solar panels. The park is located in the small town Frunze in Ocnita on an area of 2.8 ha and contains 3,000 photovoltaic panels that will generate approximately 2 million kWh annually.
"Initially, Lavender First wanted to grow lavender. We wanted to produce essential oils, after which we understood that the most successful occupation is renewable energy. When we reached out to maib, they were responsive. They came with information regarding the documents, which was easy for us. The money was received very quickly" says Mihaela Vîrlan, Lavender First SRL representative. The photovoltaic park has the status of eligible electricity producer and was built by Alum Sistem SRL.
"During May-September, such a park could produce 8000-10000 kWh per day", specified Vladislav Chirica, technical manager of Alum Sistem SRL.
At the same time, Vladislav Chirica proudly reported on the future plans that will be realized in partnership with maib - 55 large projects with a capacity of 1mWh and 15 projects for net metering of 200 kWh. By 2022, 5 photovoltaic parks will be opened with a production capacity of approx. 1 mWh each.

The project costs are about 760 euros per 1 kWh on a turnkey basis. The term of execution, from signing the contract until commissioning, is 6 months. The recoverability of the projects, made from their resources, is 5.5 years, with the attraction of resources from the bank - 6.5 years.
 Maib offers financial support both from its resources and from international funds. Loans are granted to newly created enterprises with the aim of:

  • production of energy from alternative resources;
  • energy efficiency of the enterprise;
  • to make sustainable investments (eco-friendly).
Applicants can obtain financing for 7 years, with a grace period for the payment of the loan of up to 12 months and the interest of up to 6 months. Loans for green energy have several advantages: the interest can be subsidized, the investments can be partially compensated, no own contribution is needed, and technical assistance is offered in the realization of the project. Do you want to invest in the energy independence of your business? Request the offer, and we will contact you for an individual consultation.
