THE BANKER MAGAZINE AWARDS INTESA SANPAOLO AS “BANK OF THE YEAR IN ITALY”

THE BANKER MAGAZINE AWARDS INTESA SANPAOLO AS “BANK OF THE YEAR IN ITALY”

Intesa Sanpaolo is again "Bank of the Year in Italy" according to The Banker, the respected Financial Times Group publication.

The "Bank of the Year in Italy 2021" award was attributed for Intesa Sanpaolo’s role in providing stability and supporting the collective effort towards recovery from the pandemic – areas in which the Group distinguished itself.

The Banker also awarded the Group’s international subsidiary Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania as “Bank of the Year for Banking in the Community 2021”, in recognition of the support provided to local communities during the pandemic, including financial education for children and the economic empowerment of women.

In 2020, The Banker recognized Intesa Sanpaolo both as “Bank of the Year in Western Europe” – the first time an Italian bank had earned the award – as well as “Bank of the Year in Italy”.

The “Bank of the Year” awards recognize the world’s leading institutions following an independent and analytical process by a panel of judges.

Since 2018, the Intesa Sanpaolo Group is also present on the market of the Republic of Moldova, after the completion of the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of EXIMBANK by Intesa Sanpaolo, on March 13th.
