The deadlines for paying most taxes and fees for June and the second quarter expire on July 27 - the State Tax Service

The State Tax Service has reminded legal entities and individual entrepreneurs of the key deadlines for filing tax returns and paying mandatory taxes and fees in July 2026. The deadline for fulfilling most tax obligations for June and the second quarter is July 27. By this date, taxpayers must file their June returns and pay income tax, VAT, excise taxes, and mandatory health insurance and state social insurance contributions related to payroll. Also, by July 27, taxpayers must file returns for income tax; VAT and excise taxes; the environmental fee on goods whose use causes environmental pollution (for taxpayers not participating in collective extended producer responsibility systems); and contributions to the Population Support Fund. By the same date, taxpayers must fulfill their tax obligations for the second quarter of 2026, including payment of the contribution to the Vine and Wine Fund, the tax on the use of roads by vehicles exceeding permissible parameters, the income tax for small and medium-sized businesses, and the income tax for self-employed individuals. Self-employed individuals (freelancers) must pay the single tax for June by July 27 based on the payment notice received from the State Tax Service. They must also submit semi-annual reports on local taxes and payments for the use of natural resources by July 27 and, if necessary, pay the corresponding amounts. A separate deadline applies to the tax return for the sale of natural gas used as fuel for motor vehicles: the return for the second quarter must be filed by July 20. The State Tax Service has urged taxpayers to meet these deadlines to avoid late payment penalties and fines. A complete list of obligations is available in the tax calendar on the agency’s official website: https://sfs.md/ro/calendar. // 16.07.2026 — InfoMarket
