More than 100 aspiring entrepreneurs from central Moldova are participating in the fifth round of the Startup Training Program, which is taking place from February 10 to 12 in Orhei with the EU support
According to the Ministry of Finance, more than 100 people from the Orhei, Telenesti, Singerei, Rezina, Soldanesti, and Criuleni districts are participating in the three-day training course for those wishing to start their own business, as well as novice entrepreneurs. The training is organized as part of the EU-funded project “Moldova is Europe. Support for EU integration.” It is conducted by the Ministry of Finance, the State Tax Service, the Customs Service, and the publication Monitorul Fiscal FISC.md. During the training, participants will acquire practical skills for starting and managing a business, with the support of experts from various fields. Specialists from the Ministry of Finance, the State Tax Service, the Customs Service, and representatives of the private sector will provide information support to participants. During the course, participants will study important topics such as business registration, taxes, social contributions, VAT, labor legislation, accounting, customs procedures, and public procurement. Participants will develop practical communication, negotiation, and team management skills for confident cooperation with partners, clients, and employees. The main topics of the training include: tax obligations related to starting a business; accounting; preparation of accounting documentation; export-import and other customs issues; other issues relevant to business management. The first four rounds of the training program were held in 2025 in Chisinau, as well as in the central, northern, and southern regions of the country, with about 450 entrepreneurs participating. The project will continue in 2026 with new training rounds.
