Public discussions are beginning in Moldova on the topic “Green Economy and Digitalization: Promoting the European Green Deal within the Framework of the Country's European Integration”
As announced by the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, Moldova's vision for a green, circular, and digital economy is being shaped through strategic directions aimed at sustainable development, resource optimization, and increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises. Digitalization, the introduction of modern technologies, and the gradual transition to sustainable economic models are becoming key national priorities. In this context, the implementation of the principles of the European Green Deal represents an important step in the process of economic modernization and progress towards European integration. It is emphasized that the green and technological transition is not just an option, but a key element in shaping Moldova's economic future. In this regard, FinTech Hub is holding public discussions on the topic “Green Economy” - a platform for dialogue between government authorities, the business community, experts, and the technology community. The aim of the event is to identify the government's priorities regarding the green economy and digitalization, and to provide a space for analysis, exchange of views and search for common solutions. The first session on 9 December will be attended by Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugen Osmochescu and Minister of Environment Gheorghe Hajder. During the event, participants will learn about Moldova's strategic directions in the field of greening the economy and SMEs; the role of digitalization and new technologies in increasing economic competitiveness; the integration of the European Green Deal directives into the national agenda; and opportunities for the business environment to transition to a green economy. The event is organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the Ministry of Environment, and FinTech Hub. // 08.12.2025 – InfoMarket.
