Over the past six years, the turnover of small and medium-sized enterprises in Moldova supported by the European Union has reached almost €5 billion
The European Union's representative office in our country provided this data, noting that, in particular, assistance was provided to them within the framework of EU4Business, a European Union initiative aimed at supporting small and medium-sized businesses in the Eastern Partnership countries, including Moldova. On average, the EU4Business initiative supported about 6,000 small and medium-sized enterprises in Moldova each year. In particular, in 2024 alone, thanks to the support of EU4Business, almost 13,000 new jobs were created in Moldova, and the supported small and medium-sized enterprises achieved a 9.9% increase in exports. EU support for these enterprises focused on three key areas: access to finance (export financing, loans, microfinance, etc.), business development services (consulting, training, etc.), and improving the business environment by promoting legislative reforms. // 08.12.2025 – InfoMarket.
