The third power unit has been launched at the Moldavskaya GRES, and a total of more than 300 megawatts of electricity is supplied to right-bank Moldova.
These data were provided to Transnistrian journalists by Dnestrenergo. It was noted that the Transnistrian region generates over 500 megawatts of electric power, of which about 150 megawatts is necessary for internal consumption, and over 300 megawatts is supplied to right bank Moldova. At the moment, electricity in Transnistria is produced by three power units of the Moldavskaya GRES; the second power unit was launched the day before yesterday and the third one yesterday morning. Each of them produces from 110 to 190 megawatts. Besides, the power is generated by three generators of Dubasari HPP, each with a capacity of about 8 megawatts. According to Mikhail Dobrov, general director of Dnestrenergo, the launch of additional power units increases the overall stability of the energy system. "It is possible to survive a consumer outage; the worst thing is to lose the generating capacity of the Moldavskaya GRES. When three power units are operating, the power system feels more comfortable. The likelihood that an accident will shut down all of them at once is much less," said Mikhail Dobrov in a conversation with the media. According to him, launching additional generating capacities gives more room for maneuvering and allows for a more flexible response to fluctuations in the adjacent power grids. // 07.12.2022 – InfoMarket
