According to Inter RAO's reporting, EBITDA (earnings before interest taxes, depreciation and amortization) of the Moldovan HPP increased by 13.3% - from 2 billion 605 million rubles in January-September 2020 up to 2 billion 952 million rubles for the same period in 2021. As noted by Inter RAO, the Moldovcan HPP showed positive dynamics for 9 months in 2021 due to an increase in production volumes, as well as an increase in the average US dollar / Russian ruble exchange rate. At the same time, the utilization factor of the HPP’s installed capacity (2520 MW) increased over the specified period from 21% to 22.12%. In the fuel balance of the HPP, the share of gas in January-September 2021 amounted to 99.54%, coal - 0.35%, fuel oil - 0.11% against 99.95%; 0.01%; 0.04%, respectively, in the same period a year earlier. As noted by the Moldovan HPP, the increase in electricity generation recorded for 9 months in 2021was associated with an increase in its consumption by enterprises of Transnistria, as well as with an increase in the volume of electricity supplies to the right bank of the Dniester, which in Tiraspol is regarded as “export to Moldova”. The revenue from sales of the Moldovan HPP in 2020 in Russian rubles amounted to 12 billion 548 million, up 20.8% compared to 2019.
