Strategic Priorities of Verum Group for 2025: We will invest responsibly, with a positive impact on the community and the environment.

Strategic Priorities of Verum Group for 2025: We will invest responsibly, with a positive impact on the community and the environment.

For Verum Group, one of the largest agri-food groups in the Republic of Moldova, 2024 was a year of major achievements. These include a 40% increase in the production capacity of livestock complexes, the initiation of a feasibility study for biogas production from ethanol waste, and the modernization of irrigation systems for agricultural crops.

"The development strategy of Verum Group is fully aligned with the new geopolitical and climatic realities. The future of the agri-food industry focuses on sustainable, resilient, eco-friendly, and efficient production, adapted to the demands of the modern global market," says Denis Cibizov, founder of Verum Group.

In this context, expanding animal farming operations remains a priority for Verum Group. "By the end of 2025, we plan to increase the number of animals to 70,000 heads," says Andrei Costîc, General Manager of Mărculești-Combi SA and Funny-Pig SRL. "We need to expand in this direction to strengthen meat supply for consumers in the Republic of Moldova and create new economic opportunities," adds Miroslav Finciuc, General Manager of Filletti, part of Verum Group.

This expansion supports Verum Group's commitment to enhancing synergy in the feed-livestock-processing value chain and ensuring quality control from grain to the final product. Last year, the Mărculești-Combi SA factory confirmed its leading position in the Moldovan feed market by winning three contracts to supply high-quality feed for cattle under the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) program.

In 2025, Verum Group will begin construction on a biogas production facility, a crucial project for Moldova's energy security and for achieving Verum Group's sustainability goals. "This project enables us to harness industrial waste by converting it into a green energy source, thereby contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions," explains Robert Claicnet, General Manager of Zernoff, part of Verum Group.

The biogas production feasibility study, developed in collaboration with Japanese partners under the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM), exemplifies the implementation of circular economy principles and demonstrates Verum Group's commitment to sustainability.

The year 2025 will also mark the strengthening of Verum Group's presence in international markets. The group intends to expand its exports of agricultural and industrial products to the European Union, the Middle East, and North Africa. "Our products are already exported to 20 countries. In 2025, we aim to develop high value-added products that meet the highest quality standards and become a model of excellence in the agri-food sector, both locally and internationally," emphasizes Denis Cibizov.

Another major objective of Verum Group for 2025 is to increase operational efficiency. "Investments in modernizing facilities and expanding logistics capacities will contribute to a 10-15% increase in revenues and reduction of operational expenses related to grain processing, storage and transportation," explains Alexandru Bărbuță, CFO of Ancom-Agro SRL, part of Verum Group.

By leveraging advanced technologies and automation, Verum Group aims to reduce costs, increase productivity, and get even closer to its industrial clients both domestically and abroad.

Verum Group will continue to support the development of young people interested in the group's fields of activity. In 2024, the partnership with Junior Achievement Moldova within the Innovation Camp served as a catalyst for innovative ideas and sustainable solutions in the circular economy. "Supporting youth initiatives contributes to the development of a new generation of entrepreneurs, and Verum Group is dedicated to investing in education and professional training," says Vitalie Arvinte, Director of Marketing and Strategy at Verum Group.

In conclusion, 2025 represents a year of significant challenges and opportunities for Verum Group. The top management aims to continue investing responsibly, generating economic value, and having a positive impact on the community and the environment.
