Near 190 Moldovan companies will receive support under the Bridge Export program for export promotion until 2028, and the volume of additional exports generated by them will exceed $50 million
These figures are contained in documents approved by government, which on Wednesday endorsed the Regulation on the provision of support for the development of foreign trade activities under the BRIDGE EXPORT Program launched today in Chisinau. This initiative aims to assist Moldovan companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in facilitating their entry into foreign markets. According to Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugen Osmochescu, the BRIDGE EXPORT program is designed to contribute to the achievement of the most important goal – supporting entrepreneurs. This state program to assist business associations, with a budget of 60 million lei, is designed to last three years and aims to promote Moldovan companies in international markets. The activities covered by the program include participation in international fairs, exhibitions, economic missions, and other business events organized abroad, as well as the implementation of feasibility studies and projects. Financial support will range from 100,000 lei to 2 million lei, and beneficiaries will be selected on the basis of clear and competitive criteria, with support being provided to enterprises with real export potential. The invitation to participate in BRIDGE EXPORT, intended for public associations representing the export sectors of the economy, will be published by the Investment Agency. After that, applications for funding can be sent to the following email addresses: office@invest.gov.md and export@invest.gov.md within the deadline specified in the announcement. The program aims to increase Moldovan exports, raise awareness of domestic products and services in foreign markets, and help companies diversify their sales markets. BRIDGE EXPORT is expected to have a positive economic impact, support the internationalization of SMEs, contribute to the creation of higher-paying jobs, and help entrepreneurs develop their professional skills by entering foreign markets and exchanging experience. At the same time, the program will contribute to strengthening Moldova's image on the international arena and promoting the national brand. It is expected that the number of exporting companies that will be able to increase exports under the BRIDGE EXPORT program will range from 150 in 2026 to 190 in 2028, and the volume of additional exports generated by them will increase from $25 million in 2026 to $50 million in 2028. // 04.02.2026 — InfoMarket
