Moldova Innovation Technology Park launches a Working Group dedicated to Moldova's integration into the EU to make a practical contribution to this process in the IT sector

As noted by Marina Bzovîi, Administrator of Moldova Innovation Technology Park (MITP), Moldova is at a decisive stage in its European journey. The process of joining the European Union involves complex reforms, harmonization of legislation and economic, tax, and digital systems with EU standards. In this context, Moldova Innovation Technology Park invites its residents to join the Working Group on EU integration, created as a platform for dialogue and practical contribution from the IT sector. “We invite active MITP residents, companies, and specialists to join this strategic initiative and contribute their expertise in key areas of the integration process, including digitalization and e-governance, compatibility and IT systems, EU compliance and regulation, taxation and economic mechanisms, data protection, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence,” said Marina Bzovîi. According to her, those who register will receive invitations to Working Group meetings; access to topics and discussions related to the EU integration process; the opportunity to contribute directly by offering their ideas and expertise. Moldova Innovation Technology Park, established in 2018, is the first e-Park in Europe to offer a single tax regime of 7% and a stable framework guaranteed by the state until 2035, with a term until 2037. The number of residents of the Moldova Innovation Technology Park (MITP) has grown eightfold over the past eight years, from 338 companies at the end of 2018 to 2,725 companies at the end of 2025. The contribution of IT to Moldova's GDP has increased 3.5 times in 8 years: from 1.5% in 2016 to more than 5% in 2024.
