Moldova and the EU will expand cooperation to attract new investment to our country and promote its sustainable economic development
This was discussed during an official meeting between the leadership of the Moldovan Investment Agency and representatives of the Directorate-General for Enlargement and Neighborhood East (DG ENEST). This European Commission directorate is responsible for EU accession negotiations with candidate countries, managing bilateral relations, and coordinating technical and financial assistance to the EU's Eastern Neighborhood countries, including Moldova. Discussions focused on the Investment Agency's priorities for 2026, recent changes in the investment climate in Moldova, measures aimed at increasing the country's attractiveness as an investment destination, and the first results of the European Commission's call for proposals to support investment in Moldova. The parties also analyzed opportunities for cooperation aimed at supporting investment flows, leveraging Moldova's competitive advantages, and promoting sustainable economic development in the context of our country's European path. // 02.02.2026 – InfoMarket.
