The European Commission has published an analytical report assessing the situation in Moldova related to 33 chapters of EU legislation.

In particular, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI) reported that the second part of the European Commission's opinion on Moldova's application for EU accession has been published. The analytical report assesses the situation concerning 33 chapters of EU legislation and closes the first part of the Opinion, which was published on 17 June 2022, evaluating political and economic criteria for accession. The new EC report analyzes the level of preparation of our country in terms of EU standards, assessing the situation according to the assessment system of the European Commission. According to the report, Moldova is at the beginner stage of preparation in 12 areas: Chapter 5: Public Procurement, Chapter 32: Financial Control, Chapter 2: Free Movement of Workers, Chapter 6: Commercial Companies' Rights, Chapter 9: Financial Services, Chapter 16: Taxation, Chapter 19 Social Policy and Employment, Chapter 27: Environment and Climate Change, Chapter 11: Agriculture and Rural Development, Chapter 13: Fisheries, Chapter 22: Regional Policy and Coordination of Structural Instruments, Chapter 33: Financial and Budgetary Regulations. At the same time, a certain level of preparation is registered in 17 areas: Chapter 24: Justice, Freedom and Security, Chapter 18: Statistics, Chapter 1: Free Movement of Goods, Chapter 3: Right to Create and Free Services, Chapter 4: Free Movement of Capital, Chapter 7: Intellectual Property Law, Chapter 8: Competition Policy, Chapter 28: Consumer Protection and Health, Chapter 10: Digital Transformation and Media, Chapter 17: Economic and Monetary Policy, Chapter 20: Entrepreneurship and Industrial Policy, Chapter 11: Industrial Policy, Chapter 11: Social Security, Chapter 12: Social Security, Chapter 13: Social Security, Chapter 13: Social Security, Chapter 14: Social Security, Chapter 17: Social Security, Chapter 17: Social Security, Chapter 18: Statistics, Chapter 18: Statistics, Chapter 18: Statistics, Chapter 17: Political Economy and Monetary Policy, Chapter 17: Political Policy, Chapter 20: Political and Monetary Policy, Chapter 17: Political and Economic Policy, Chapter 19: Political and Economic Policy, Chapter 20: Political and Industrial Policy. The analytical report reflects the situation as of June 2022. The progress made subsequently will be reflected in the report on EU enlargement policy which will be published in autumn 2023.
