The government compensates part of the costs of economic agents for natural gas consumed in the first quarter of 2023, 230 million lei has been allocated for this purpose.

The corresponding decision was made by the Commission for Emergency Situations at a meeting on Tuesday. In particular, non-residential consumers - individuals or legal entities that purchase natural gas from suppliers for purposes other than domestic needs, with the exception of central authorities and institutions, will be compensated for the first 500 cubic meters of consumed gas. The government compensates 12.27 lei (excluding VAT) for each cubic meter of gas consumed in January, February and March 2023. At the same time, non-residential consumers from some areas of the economy with increased gas consumption who have no sales in the first quarter of 2023, or the cost of paying for the consumed gas is at least 5% of the cost of supplies of goods and services in the corresponding month, will be able to receive compensation at the rate of 12.27 lei without VAT per cubic meter of gas, but within the limits of 1.5 million lei per month. This mechanism will be available to enterprises engaged in the production of bread and fresh pastries, dairy products and cheeses, raising poultry and pigs, processing vegetables and fruits, production of clothing and knitwear, glass, carpets, paper and cardboard, etc. Compensation will be paid for the previous month, and invoices to non-residential consumers will separately indicate the total amount for the services provided, the amount of compensation without VAT and the amount to be paid by each consumer after recalculation. Compensation will be provided to the consumer, regardless of the number of consumption points located in the country. In order to receive compensation, non-residential consumers must apply through the electronic reporting single window (raportare.gov.md) by completing the CCG22 form. Applications can be submitted until May 12th. According to the decision of the commission, the Ministry of Finance will allocate 230 million lei from the Government Intervention Fund to provide compensation for natural gas to non-residential consumers. // 31.01.2023 — InfoMarket
