
The 20th "Made in Moldova" exhibition runs at Moldexpo with more than 350 Moldovan manufacturers participating.
The exhibition takes place from February 1 to 5 and is located in two pavilions of the Moldexpo International Exhibition Center. The producers of agri-industrial sectors, textiles, industrial products and others are present at the exhibition. Moldova’s regions as well as companies from Italy will take part with collective stands at the exhibition. Seminars, presentations, trainings and master classes, including those organized by the CNAS, ODA, AIPA, CNPF and others will be held within the framework of "Made in Moldova". At the official opening ceremony of the exhibition, Natalia Gavrilita, the head of the government, said that Moldova is able to produce quality goods and the state is eager to support the local producers through various support measures. For example, on the eve, the Emergency Situations Commission and the government adopted the decision to compensate part of the expenses for the consumed gas, which will allow maintaining the workplaces, prices and competitiveness of local products in these difficult conditions on the international market. Also, the government is taking efforts to help the Moldovan producers enter new markets: the export of Moldovan apples to Romania, India has been reoriented; talks are under way to supply products to markets in other countries. Prime Minister also recalled the reorganization of the main institution for business support - ODA. "Last year the budget of business support programs amounted to 720 million lei, more than 1 thousand businessmen received assistance. Now we create the FACEM fund, it will start operating in 2 months; its size will be 2 million lei. It will be a fund for development and investment, which will increase the ability to lend on favorable terms. And we will continue these efforts by stimulating fiscal policy and supporting investments as well," Natalia Gavrilita said, urging business to take advantage of the supportive measures. Gavrilita also pointed out the importance to invest in the raising of the production standards, in order to ensure the compliance of Moldovan goods with the requirements of the biggest market Moldova aims at - the EU market. The president of the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sergiu Harea, said that this year's exhibition is held under the slogan "Made in Moldova - made for you!"
