
Romania will provide Moldova with a grant in the amount of about 50 million Romanian lei (about 10 million euros) to support the budget
This was announced by the Ministry of Finance of Moldova, noting that this is provides for by an appropriate Financing Agreement for the provision of direct budgetary support to Moldova, which the department signed today with the Romanian Agency for the Development of International Cooperation (RoAid). On behalf of the Ministry of Finance of Moldova, the agreement was signed by Secretary General Dina Rosca, and on behalf of RoAid, by General Director Daniela Maria Dobre. According to the agreement, Moldova will receive financial assistance from the Romanian state in the form of budgetary support in the amount of 50 million Romanian lei (about 10 million euros). The agreement is based on the intention of the Romanian state, which was announced during the international conference in Berlin on April 5 this year, and implemented by allocating financial resources from the budgetary reserve fund at the disposal of the government, through the decision of the Romanian government of July 13, 2022. Money designed to achieve the goals of international development cooperation and humanitarian assistance, especially to overcome the economic crisis generated by the war in Ukraine, since urgent needs were identified to solve the problems faced by Moldova in crisis management and/or in the field of energy with the help of the necessary measures such as the purchase of natural gas and coal and other energy efficiency measures.// 12.10.2022 — InfoMarket.
