Termoelectrica will receive 8 thousand tons of fuel oil from the state reserve to partially replace natural gas, and NAER will take this into account when calculating new tariffs.
The corresponding decision was made on Friday by the Commission for Emergency Situations in order to optimize the consumption of natural gas, in the context of Gazprom's reduction in gas supplies to Moldova. It was agreed that the Agency of Material Reserves of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will release 8 thousand tons of fuel oil from the state reserve to Termoelectrica, which will be used for the production of electricity and heat. At the same time, when updating/adjusting tariffs for 2022, the National Agency for Energy Regulation will take into account the amount of 236 million 993.8 thousand lei as compensation for the used fuel oil, which is equivalent to the cost of natural gas replaced in the corresponding period by Termoelectrica for the production of electricity and heat. CoES members also decided that during the state of emergency, NAER will not issue licenses for trading and supply of natural gas. Trading is the sale of gas to other resellers without delivery to end consumers. Another decision of the CoES concerns changing the list of facilities that must be connected to the centralized heat supply system in Balti municipality. // 07.10.2022 — InfoMarket
