The second summit of the European Political Community to take place next spring in Moldova.
This was stated by President of Moldova Maia Sandu before a joint press conference held the night before in Prague with President of France Emmanuel Macron, the initiator of the European Political Community, as well as with Prime Minister of the host country, Petr Fiala. "The proposal to hold a meeting of the leaders of 44 European states and regions in our country underscores our partners' unequivocal support for the European course and Moldova's future. It also reflects the pragmatic and result-oriented character that we want to endow the European Political Community created today. Dear friends, we are waiting for you in Chisinau!", Maia Sandu wrote in her social network. It's worth mentioning that the day before Moldovan President along with 43 European leaders took part in the founding of the European Political Community (EPC). The European Political Community is an initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron and is a platform for discussion and cooperation between European countries. "The EPC is not an alternative to the process of European integration. It will strengthen the political dialogue between EU and non-EU countries and seek point-and-click solutions to common problems," Maia Sandu said after the founding session of the summit in Prague. As part of her conversation with European leaders, Maia Sandu touched on the energy situation in Moldova. "I once again noted that European states must work together to restore a rules-based international order. Decisive action is needed to restore peace in Europe, to contain any attempts at destabilization and to strengthen security on the continent," the Moldovan head of state said. // 07.10.2022 - InfoMarket
