Gazprom may stop deliveries if the Moldovan side violates the obligation to pay for gas until October 20.
In its corporate telegram channel, Gazprom explained that Naftogaz Ukrainy refuses to provide Gazprom with a gas transportation service in full. For this reason, in October 2022, Gazprom can only supply Moldova with 5.7 million cubic meters of gas per day (30% less than the required volume). The Russian concern emphasizes that the Moldovagaz company in 2022 regularly violated the terms of the contract on the payment deadline for the supplied gas, and also repeatedly applied to Gazprom for mitigation of contractual obligations in terms of supply volumes, and Gazprom regularly satisfied the requests of the Moldovan parties, confirming their focus on long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation. However, Gazprom warns that it reserves all its rights, including the right to completely stop supplies in case of violation of the obligation to pay for gas before October 20, as well as the right to terminate the contract at any time due to a gross violation of the terms of the agreement on the settlement of the historical debt of "Moldovagaz". “In the future, any requests from the Moldovan side that involve changes in the contractual terms will be made out only in the form of appropriate additions to the contract,” the Gazprom telegram channel reported.//04.10.2022 – InfoMarket.
