Moldova to create the first European Digital Innovation Hub that will attract €1 million in direct investment from the EU for the digital transformation of Moldovan enterprises
As announced by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, Moldova has been officially designated as the location for the first European Digital Innovation Hub, and that this success is the result of a strong partnership between the Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI) and the Technical University of Moldova. “This is clear evidence that when associations and academia join forces, Moldova becomes a significant player at the European level,” the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization of Moldova emphasized. They specified that the establishment of the first European Digital Innovation Hub in Moldova means direct investment in innovation for the Moldovan economy through European funding of €1 million. This money will be directed specifically towards the digital transformation of our enterprises. The government will also contribute €1 million through the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA). Direct support for SMEs will be provided in the form of digitalization vouchers, providing direct grants to companies wishing to modernize their processes and become competitive in the global market. “Through this hub, we offer resources, expertise, and capital so that innovation is no longer just a concept.
