Passenger traffic at Chisinau Airport in 2025 increased by 46.8% (+1.94 million passengers) compared to 2024, reaching a new record of 6,080,431 passengers
According to the capital's airport administration, the annual plan was fulfilled at 106.8%. At the same time, passenger traffic in December 2025 reached 469,385 passengers, and compared to December 2024, it increased by 41.8% (+138,444 passengers). The largest growth in passenger traffic was in the following directions: Sharm El Sheikh (+9,311 passengers), Bucharest (+9,295 passengers), Paris (+7,614 passengers), Istanbul (+6,780 passengers), Tel Aviv (+6,549 passengers), Brussels (+6,217 passengers), Barcelona (+5,961 passengers), Larnaca (+5,748 passengers), Dubai (+5,475 passengers), and Yerevan (+5,205 passengers). New destinations added to the flight network attracted 59,397 passengers in December, accounting for 9.52% of total monthly passenger traffic, confirming the growing interest in diversified air services. The most popular new destinations were Brussels (Charleroi) – 7,037 passengers, Naples – 5,942 passengers, Dortmund – 5,584 passengers, Nuremberg – 5,576 passengers, Memmingen – 4,468 passengers, Karlsruhe – 3,928 passengers, Alicante – 3,882 passengers, Sofia – 3,676 passengers, Katowice – 3,575 passengers, Bari – 3,338 passengers, Billund – 3,248 passengers. According to the capital's airport administration, 2025 saw steady and stable growth in air traffic, facilitated by the expansion of the route network, increased flight frequency, the development of tourism, and strengthened cooperation with international carriers.
