Ten settlements in northern Moldova will be connected to the Soroca-Balti-Singerei water main thanks to a project worth 49 million lei

According to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, specifically the Northern Regional Development Agency, Montex-Gaz and the Singerei District Council have signed a contract for construction work as part of the project "Construction of main water supply networks for the settlements of Vranesti, Brejeni, Ciuciuieni, Iezarenii Vechi, Chiscareni, Slobozia-Chiscareni, Flaminzeni, Dumbravita from the Soroca-Balti-Singerei water pipeline." The project is financed by the Moldovan government through the National Fund for Regional and Local Development, co-financed by the beneficiaries, and implemented by the Northern Regional Development Agency. The total value of the signed contract is 49.03 million lei. The construction company Montex-Gaz has undertaken to complete the work within a maximum of 21 months from the date of receipt of the order to commence work. The project provides for the expansion of access to quality drinking water in 10 settlements in the Singerei district, which will be connected to the Soroca-Balti-Singerei regional water supply system through the construction of a 46 km long water main. These are the settlements of Vranesti, Brejeni, Ciuciuieni, Iezarenii Vechi, Chiscareni, Slobozia-Chiscareni, Flaminzeni, Dumbravita, Bocancea-Schit, and Valea-lui-Vlad, where about 12,000 people live. At the same time, conditions will be created for the development of a regional water supply system in other settlements in Singerei and Telenesti districts. In the future, the constructed water pipeline may be expanded as part of an interregional project to settlements in Telenesti district (the “Center” development region) that have limited access to regional drinking water supply networks. // 26.12.2025 – InfoMarket.
