In Moldova, notaries will be required to indicate the value and other data about the alienated property.

The State Tax Service initiated a draft amendment to one of the annexes to the order to determine the procedure, structure and conditions for submitting information by entities that provide information to determine assessed taxable income from indirect sources. As noted in the explanatory note to the project, notaries and other persons engaged in notarial activities do not provide information on the cost basis of the alienated property, which would make it possible to determine the tax obligations associated with the alienation of this property by individuals. This is contrary to the provisions of the Tax Code. Initially, these data are proposed to be filled out only to provide data on the alienation of real estate on the basis of a purchase and sale agreement during the reporting period. In particular, according to the project, in addition to the existing data filled out by notaries, they will have to provide the following information: the value of the real estate obtained on the basis of a purchase and sale agreement, currency code, date of conclusion of the agreement and its number. Consultations on the project are being held until April 26, the project is available in the “Transparency” section on the State Tax Service website.// 16.04.2024 — InfoMarket.
