The State Tax Service reported on the temporary suspension of the possibility to submit VEN12 income tax declaration for the tax period of 2023.
In particular, the State Tax Service (STS) reminded that the Order of the Head of the Ministry of Finance of October 25, 2023 amended the Order of the Minister of Finance on the approval of the standard form of the Declaration of Income Tax for economic entities (VEN12), and the approved changes are applied starting from the reporting tax period of 2023. In accordance with the provisions of the Tax Code, in the case of legal entities, resident organizational forms with the status of natural person and permanent establishments of non-residents in Moldova, the deadline for submitting the Declaration of Income Tax for the tax period of 2023 is the deadline for submitting the VEN12 declaration. According to the STS, the implementation of the latest changes in the Declaration form requires a number of complex adjustments in the Information System. These adjustments are necessary to ensure compliance with the new legislative requirements and to facilitate an efficient tax reporting process. The process of adjusting the Information System requires close attention to detail and thorough testing to ensure that all components are working correctly. In this regard, the STS has advised that the ability to submit a VEN12 return for the 2023 tax reporting period will be temporarily suspended until the changes are finalized. This suspension is necessary to avoid reporting errors and to ensure that the system is ready to accurately process data in accordance with the new legal requirements. The STS will keep informed citizens about the progress of the adjustment process and will inform when exactly the possibility of filing the VEN12 declaration will resume. //25.01.2024 - InfoMarket.
