More than 39 million lei will be required for the implementation of the municipal program for the development of the SME sector in the municipality of Chisinau for 2024-2030.
The Main Department of Economy, Trade and Tourism of the Chisinau Municipal Council submitted for public consultation the corresponding draft of 6-year program for the development of the small and medium-sized enterprises sector. The document aims to develop human capital by promoting competencies and entrepreneurial culture; simplifying access of municipal SMEs to sources of financing; creation and development of municipal infrastructure to support entrepreneurship; increasing the competitiveness of the SME sector by developing public-private dialogue and strengthening the institutional capacity of the local public body responsible for implementing policies in the field of supporting entrepreneurship in the capital. According to the project, a set of measures will be implemented to stimulate and promote entrepreneurial culture and thinking, as well as to develop entrepreneurial competencies. It is planned to hold an annual SME forum and competition “Best SME Entrepreneur in Chisinau”. Access to finance will be increased - at least 3 programs for financing SMEs will be approved by the Chisinau municipal council, and 10% of SMEs will have access to them. It is planned to open an industrial park in Chisinau by 2026, and to register at least 100 SMEs in it by 2030. The municipal program “Startup for Youth and Migrants”, a program for the accelerated development of residents of the municipal business incubator, etc. will be developed and implemented.
