Such data were presented at a video conference dedicated to the 7th anniversary of the signing of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA). During this time, the number of Moldovan companies exporting their products to the EU has increased to 71% of the total number of exporting companies in the country. Romania, Germany, Italy, Poland and the Czech Republic are among the top 5 countries importing Moldovan products. The share of direct investment in our country from the EU in 2020 reached 82% of the total volume of foreign direct investment. And in 2021, the EU pledged to help Moldova overcome the consequences of the pandemic by allocating 600,000 euros for economic recovery. Over the past 7 years, the EU has provided assistance (financial, consulting, technical) to 19,531 small and medium-sized enterprises in the framework of the EU4Business initiative in Moldova, which brought to entrepreneurs additional income of 345 million euros, thanks to which almost 22 thousand jobs were created, turnover increased by 14.9%, and exports - by 3%. In addition, thanks to EU assistance, the National Emergency Call Service 112 was created and is already operating in our country, as well as the first information technology park Moldova IT Park, where 700 companies / residents have already been registered, which have created 12 thousand jobs with an annual turnover of about 5 billion lei. The European Union also supported the unification of the gas networks of Moldova and Romania through the construction of the Iasi-Chisinau gas pipeline. In just 7 years of cooperation with the EU within the framework of DCFTA, Moldova has adopted more than 27 thousand European standards, which is 100% of the total number of standards published by European standardization organizations. The use of the same standards facilitates trade and increases the competitiveness of products and services on the European market. At the same time, Annex XV to the Association Agreement on the abolition of customs duties was updated, according to which additional tariff quotas were granted to Moldova.
