
Fuel prices in Moldova increased in 2021 by an average of 29.32% compared to 2020.
This follows from the data on annual inflation for the last year, which was presented by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The NBS noted that at the same time, in December 2021, relative to December 2020, the price of coal increased by 46.1%, liquefied gas in cylinders - by 44.9%, diesel fuel - by 29.8%, gasoline - by 28.8%, biomass briquettes and pellets - by 28.4%. Materials for the maintenance and repair of housing increased in price over the year by 24.3%, firewood - by 21.1%, furniture and household appliances - by 19.8%, carpets and other floor materials - by 15.4%, information processing equipment - by 15%, small household electrical appliances - by 13.3%, spare parts and accessories for personal vehicles - by 10.2%, clothing - by 10.1%, high-power household appliances - by 9.3%. According to the NBS, among the services provided to the population in December 2021, compared to December 2020, the prices for public utilities increased by 18.2% (in particular, gas - by 81.7%, central heating - by 24.6%, hot water - by 11.4%), rehabilitation services in sanatoriums - by 33.5%, housing maintenance and repair services - by 23.6%, passenger transportation services by taxi - by 23.4%, hairdressing and body aesthetics services - by 19.6%, travel packages - by 18.5%, dental services - by 15.6%, catering services - by 9.7%, apartment rental and transport insurance - 9.5% each, mobile services - 3.7%, urban passenger transport services - 1.1%.
