Of the total number of beneficiaries of support programs managed by ODIMM, more than 45% are young people.

These data were presented by the head of the Organization for the Development of the Sector of Small and Medium Enterprises of Moldova (ODIMM), Iulia Iabanji, at the working session “Stimulating Entrepreneurial Culture Among Youth. Opportunities and Obstacles,” organized by the Institute for European Policy and Reform (IPRE). She noted that ODIMM has developed and implemented many programs, projects and support tools that are aimed at integrating young people from Moldova into the country's economic system, by developing entrepreneurial skills and financial support for starting and developing from their own sustainable business. Since 2019, ODIMM has been implementing a support initiative exclusively for young people - the Start for Youth program, in which 240 young people received financial support to start their own businesses, and more than 2,000 people received entrepreneurship education. At the same time, it is expected that by the end of this year, a program of support and mentoring for social enterprises will be launched, which will contribute to the launch and development of social entrepreneurship, including among young people from socially vulnerable groups, especially in rural areas. // 29.09.2021 - InfoMarket
