The German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) will introduce a new assistance program in Moldova to support regional development.
The portfolio of this assistance will be supplemented by other donors - the European Union and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of Moldova, noting that this was discussed during the meeting of the department's leadership with the GIZ Program Mission, at which the parties discussed the evolution of the country's socio-economic development, reform measures carried out with the support of the GIZ, as well as the priorities of policies in the economic sphere. The mission members stressed that the new GIZ assistance program for Moldova will cover 2022-2026 with a focus on supporting the development of some regions, and the aid portfolio will be complemented by other donors: the EU and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
