Moldovan authorities to approve a 5-year National Program for the Development of Social Entrepreneurship.
The Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure Lilia Palii said this during the discussions on the social economy in the Eastern Partnership countries, which were held within the framework of the European Summit on Social Economy. During the online session, which was attended by representatives of government agencies of Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia and Ukraine, three important aspects were discussed: digitalization of the social economy, innovation and cross-border and intersectoral cooperation. Lilia Palii spoke about the emergence of social entrepreneurship in Moldova and the preparation of the legislative and regulatory framework in this area. Thus, in Moldova, the Regulation on the organization and functioning of the National Commission on Social Entrepreneurship was approved, as well as the List of activities that constitute the activity of social entrepreneurship. In the near future, according to Lilia Palii, it is necessary to approve the National Program for the Development of Social Entrepreneurship for the next 5 years, as well as an action plan for its implementation. This strategic document contains goals and actions aimed at stimulating the development of the social economy, with an emphasis on strengthening the regulatory framework, creating institutional, financial and fiscal prerequisites for using the potential of social entrepreneurship.
