Such data are provided in the materials of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) concerning the financial situation of the banking sector for 3 months in 2024. The matter concerns the share of subprime, doubtful and bad loans in the total volume of loans. The National Bank notes that the rate of bad loans varies among different banks, ranging from 2.5% to 6.2%. At the same time, bad loans in absolute terms in January-March 2024 increased by 0.8% (+27.4 million lei), amounting to 3 billion 574.6 million lei. According to the NBM, over the analyzed period, overdue loans decreased by 9.5% (193.5 million lei) - to 1 billion 845.4 million lei. The share of overdue loans in total loans amounted to 2.8%, decreasing by 0.4 percentage points compared to the situation at the end of 2023, and varies from 1.5% to 6.3% depending on the bank. // 19.06.2024 - InfoMarket.
