NBM holds public consultations on the draft Instruction on reporting of non-bank credit organizations.

The new Instruction is planned to take effect from 2024. It establishes the form and procedure of reporting by entities registered in the Register of non-bank credit organizations (NBCOs). A total of 9 reports are envisaged for NBCOs, including 3 new ones: monthly report on the portfolio of non-banking loans issued/financial leasing provided; quarterly report on NBCO creditors; annual report on NBCO owners. The draft is designed to align the instructions with the Nonbank Credit Organizations Act. Also, there are included in the draft provisions based on the recommendations of the experts of the National Bank of Romania, presented within the framework of the project "Strengthening supervision, corporate governance and risk management in the financial sector".
