According to the data of the National Bank of Moldova, all 11 banks in the country made a profit in the first 8 months of this year. At the same time, about 2 billion 620.3 million lei, or 86.2% of the total net profit, accounted for four banks: maib, Moldindconbank, OTP Bank and Victoriabank. Another 418.1 million lei of net profit was earned by the remaining 7 banks. At the same time, 7 banks that made profits in January-August 2023 increased their volumes compared to the same period of 2022, while 4 banks reduced them. As follows from the data provided by the National Bank, in particular, in 8 months of 2023, the highest net profit was made by maib - 853.84 million lei (715.99 million lei in January-August 2022), Moldindconbank - 705.07 million lei (674.93 million lei), OTP Bank - 534.91 million lei (188.95 million lei) and Victoriabank - 526.53 million lei (407.32 million lei).
