As follows from the data of the National Bank of Moldova, at the same time, citizens still use cards mainly for withdrawing cash, although the trend of dynamic growth in the volume of non-cash payments continues, and the share of such operations in the total volume is constantly growing. In particular, the volume of cash withdrawn from bank cards issued in Moldova in January-June 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased by 10% - up to 41 billion 959.7 million lei, and the volume of non-cash payments on it grew by 38.3% - up to 28 billion 595.4 million lei. Herewith, the volume of non-cash payments in the own network of banks (on-us) increased by 41.7% - from 8 billion 070.6 million to 11 billion 439 million lei; in the network of other banks of the Republic of Moldova - increased by 35.1% - from 7 billion 869.5 million to 10 billion 635.2 million lei; abroad - increased by 37.5% - from 4 billion 741.8 million to 6 billion 521 million lei. According to the NBM, the volume of non-cash payments with the physical presence of a card in the first half of 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, increased by 41.8% - from 11 billion 824 million to 16 billion 774.4 million lei; without the physical presence of the card, through electronic commerce platforms (e-commerce), - increased by 27.8% - from 3 billion 717.6 million to 4 billion 751.3 million lei; without the physical presence of the card, through automated remote service systems - increased by 40.2% - from 4 billion 717.2 million to 6 billion 612.7 million lei. Meanwhile, the volume of cash withdrawals in the own network of banks (on-us) increased by 9.6% - from 36 billion 571.4 million to 40 billion 098.4 million lei; in the network of other banks of the Republic of Moldova - increased by 26.3% - from 1 billion 132.7 million to 1 billion 430.4 million lei, and abroad - decreased by 4.1% - from 449.5 million to 430.9 million lei. According to the NBM, in the first half of 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, the volume of transactions carried out in Moldova using cards issued abroad increased by 8.7% - up to 9 billion 093 million lei.
