
The total volume of remittances to Moldova from abroad in favor of individuals through banks in Q2 2023 amounted to $463.62 million, down by 3.9% compared to the same period of 2022.
As follows from the Balance of Payments data published by the National Bank of Moldova, in April-June 2023, compared to the same period of 2022, the volume of such remittances from EU countries increased by 13.3% - to $252.08 million (54.4% of the total volume), from CIS countries - decreased by 43.4% - to $62.45 million (13.5%), from other countries - decreased by 0.5% - to $149.09 million (32.1%). Analysis of transfers by country shows that the leaders in Q2 2023 were Germany - $65.6 million (+17.7%, compared to the same period of 2022), Israel - $64.59 million (at the same level), Russia - $59.53 million (-44.6%), Italy - $55.48 million (+11.6%), France - $43.8 million (+13.4%). // 03.10.2023 - InfoMarket
