
The net profit of the banks of Moldova in the first half of 2021 amounted to 941.74 million lei, an increase of 238.9 million (+ 34%), compared to the same period in 2020.
According to the National Bank of Moldova, the profit for 6 months this year received all 11 banks. At the same time, about 802.01 million lei (85.2% of the total net profit) fell on the share of 4 banks: Moldova-Agroindbank, Moldindconbank, OTP Bank and Victoriabank. About 139.73 million lei of net profit were earned by the remaining 7 banks. Herewith, 9 out of 11 banks that made a profit for the indicated period of 2021, its volumes increased in comparison with the same period in 2020, and for 2 banks the amount of profit decreased. As follows from the data provided by the National Bank of Moldova, in particular, in January-June 2021, the largest net profit was received by: Moldova-Agroindbank - 274.06 million lei (in January-June 2020 - 288.59 million lei), Moldindconbank - 267.24 million lei (171.61 million), OTP Bank - 152.96 million lei (40.1 million) and Victoriabank - 107.75 million lei (93.85 million). Further, in terms of net profit for 6 months 2021 follow: ProCreditBank - 39.84 million lei (in January-June 2020 - 12.29 million lei), FinComBank - 29.15 million lei (27.63 million lei), Eximbank - 28.36 million lei (21.03 million lei), Energbank - 22.26 million lei (16.72 million lei), Comertbank - 8.89 million lei (8.69 million), EuroCreditBank - 6.63 million lei (6.27 million), BCR Chisinau - 4.59 million lei (16.06 million).
