
The share of loans issued by banks of Moldova to resident legal entities as of the end of May 2021 amounted to 60.9%, up 1 percentage point versus the previous month.
The National Bank of Moldova informed that, in particular, as of the end of May 2021, such issued loans totaled 29 billion 702 million lei (+ 0.3% compared to the previous month) out of the total amount of loans of 48 billion 736.3 million lei (+ 1.8%). At the same time, loans to resident individuals amounted to 18 billion 439.9 million lei (+ 3.8%) and their share in the total volume increased from 37.1% to 37.8%. Loans to non-resident legal entities as of the end of May 2021 amounted to 586.2 million lei (+ 18.1%, compared to the previous month), while loans to non-resident individuals amounted to 8.2 million lei (+ 24.2%). According to the NBM, the largest amounts of loans to resident legal entities as of the end of May 2021 were issued by: Moldova-Agroindbank - 10.99 billion lei, Moldindconbank - 4.44 billion lei, Mobiasbanca OTP Group - 4.29 billion lei, ProCredit Bank - 3.39 billion lei, Victoriabank - 2.26 billion lei. The largest amounts of loans to non-resident legal entities were provided by: Mobiasbanca OTP Group - 343.4 million lei, Victoriabank - 97.3 million lei and Moldova-Agroindbank - 137.9 million lei.
